Deep Diver Specialty Course in Vancouver
Go Beyond Your Limits – Safely and Confidently
Take your diving to the next level with our Deep Diver Specialty Course in Vancouver at Diving Sports Canada, the largest dive shop in Vancouver. Designed for certified recreational divers ready to explore depths beyond the Advanced Open Water limits, this course will train you to safely plan and execute dives as deep as 40m / 130ft. With highly experienced instructors, top-quality equipment, and a commitment to your safety, we ensure you leave with the skills and confidence to enjoy deeper diving adventures.
Over an intensive weekend in the ocean, you’ll refine your buoyancy, master advanced gas planning, and experience the effects of deeper depths such as gas narcosis and pressure changes. We’ll practice simulated decompression stops, problem-solving under increased pressure, and emergency protocols so you’re prepared for any situation at depth.
Unlike short, compressed training programs, our deep diving course gives you the time, guidance, and personalized attention needed to truly master these skills. With decades of combined teaching experience, our instructors provide hands-on training that ensures long-term diving success.

Commitment to Safety and Enjoyment
At Diving Sports Canada, we prioritize high-quality training over minimum requirements. Our courses are scheduled with the time it typically takes most students to master knowledge and skills, not just the bare minimum set by certifying agencies. We adapt our schedule to your progress, ensuring you complete the course fully prepared and confident.
Our instructors are transparent about your progress, and while most students finish on schedule, some may require additional pool or ocean dives before certification. This extra commitment ensures you become a safe, skillful diver, ready for future deep dives and advanced training opportunities.
